I have been "doing" genealogy for the past 20 years and have decided to add a blog to share what I have and possibly contact other researchers. If you are researching any of the lines listed in the sidebar, I would like to hear from you.

Dr. Joan Gaither Speaks
The keynote speaker at the Baltimore Family History Workshop on October 15 was Dr. Joan Gaither. She talked about displaying her early life story in the form of a quilt and continuing through the years until now she has hundreds of quilts. One of these quilts features black waterman on the Chesapeake Bay, part of her American Series.

Eder attends Family History Workshop
On Saturday, October 15, 2011 I attended the Baltimore Family History Workshop held at Stemmers Run. The all-day workshop consisted of a general presentation followed by 50-minute sessions on a number of topics starting at 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. There were over 200 participants. I attended sessions on Virtual Genealogy Education, Mining the Census, Blogging, Digitizing the Family History Collection and Getting the Most out of Ancestry.com. All were excellent and I learned something from each one.
The blogging session inspired me to try my hand at it and this is my first attempt.
